I have a ADP 8224 dishwasher. It has an E2 fault registered on the display but the Instructions state that "ALARM E2 is NOT USED ON THIS APPLIANCE? What should I do?

Hiya,

E2 indicates the level safety device has been tripped.

Are you able to reset the appliance and choose a new programme?

If you are, what exactly happens when you start a new programme?

There isn't a reset. The only option is to turn of the power off and then switch back on. You can then reset program but when the DW is switched on to a program(P4) it bleeps 4 times and E2 is on the display.

When you press and hold the programme button (resets the pcb to display P0) nothing happens?

Is the door lock working properly?

Does it feel as though it's latching open and closed with no problems?

If you press the Program button it reset to PO.

The door is working properly.

It beeps 4 times

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

If it doesn't run the drain pump then it's likely the main control board is damaged.

Unplug the appliance, take the decor door off.

Take the facia panel off and check the wiring, plugs and the pcb (control board) for any obvious damage.

Let me know what you find.

Note, the metal work is very sharp when the panels are exposed.
