bosh wff 2001 washing machine,it does its short wash and rinse, then fails to pump spin, but will do if selected seperatley

So when it goes through a wash is it stoping full of water?

Does it do it every time?

When you set it to spin will it drain out ok then?

no it is not full of water, but contents are quite wet, having just rinsed

it does this every time

yes ,as i said , when selected to spin it pumps out and spins ok. i am no expert, but it sounds like a relay on the circuit board .?

Ok it does sound like the control board may be the problem.

Just double check the hoses and the drain hose and make sure its not blocked in there.

Run it empty and let it fill up. Then set it to drain and make sure it drains out fast enough. If its slow at draining then there will be a blockage in there.

But if it drains out fast enough and will spin if you reset it then its proberly the control board at fault. But given the price of the board and the age of the machine you will find its not worth replaceing the board. As the board is £250 just for the part.

So you will be best putting the money towards a new washer.
