Ok not good news im afraid. What this usually is is a faulty control board.
What you can try is take off the back and take out the control board. From there pull 1 wire block off at a time and refitt. This will tighten the conntacks on the wiring. Then retry machine and see how it goes from there.
If still the same then im afraid it will need a new control board. For this you will be best getting indesit in to repair on there fixed price repair which is about £100. This will be cheaper then buying the board yourself as they will need to program it anyway.

Yes its normally the main control board at the back. If you take the back off it will be on the left hand side there.
Its that board which gives the trouble.
