i have a Diplomat APM 6855 -1 integrated Fridge freezer, less than 4 years old. What's going wrong?Husband has just disconnected the f/freezer from electrics and taken entire unit out of housing!No visible signs of icing but we will leave it out overnight and switch back on tomorrow and see if it starts working properly again1 Thanks for your answer anyway.Answer Summary

What you may find is the evaporator inside the freezer is blocked.
How the fridge works is by the freezer. The freezer does all the cooling and the fan blows it up to the fridge section.
What can happen is the evaporator blocks up with ice stopping the air flow going round the freezer and up to the fridge.
What you can do is either take out the baskets in the freezer and take off the back wall. From there you will probably see the ice build up. Defrost by using a steamer. Dont hack at it as you will damage the pipe work.
So another way is a total defrost fro 24 hours with the freezer door open.
Then just see how it goes from then after the defrost. Fingers crossed it should be fine. If after a few weeks its done the same then you have a problem on the defrost side. Either a faulty defrost heater or sensor.
