My Bosch dishwasher will not empty of water. I have followed

Customer Question

My Bosch dishwasher will not empty of water. I have followed some of the advise on line and checked that there are no obstructions in the filter. There is no kink or blockage in the pipe from the dishwasher to the u-bend under the sink, any other advice?

Can you post the E-Nr number from the appliance please?

It's normally etched across the top of the door, visible when you open the door.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

I have a wooden door attached to the front, and when I open the door to the dishwasher I can not seen any model numbers, do I need to take the wooden cover off?

I have the manual but the only number I can see on the front is 47 206 (8205) but that could be the manual reference number.

No, you don't have to take the door off.

Look on the right side of the dishwasher door, may be a label there.

If not, look carefully at the metal part of the door when it's open.

Along the top will be the E-Nr number etched.

It's difficult to see so angle the door and see if there's anything there.

Blimey - Thats not easy to spot unless you know what your looking for!

The E-Nr number is XXXXX - Is that the number you need to know?

Thanks for that.

Unplug the appliance.

You will need to manually remove the water from inside the appliance.

Take the bottom basket and filters out.

Remove all the water from below the filters.

Use a sponge to remove it all.

Look into the now empty sump and on the left side you'll see a cover held by a single screw.

Take the screw out and remove the cover.

This will expose the pump impellor.

Remove any debris jamming the pump impellor.

Turn the impellor to ensure nothing is stopping it.

Refit the cover and screw.

Try the machine again

I've assumed that the drain hose and the connection to the house drains have already been checked for a blockage.

Hope this helps

Let me know how it goes or if you need more help

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

I've tried that and it still fills with water and does not drain at the end of the cycle.

I have checked the drain hose and the sink u-bend is also emptying properly.

How do I check to make sure that the pump impellor or pump is working properly?

Expert:  Techdesk replied 7 years ago.

That's what I've advised on in my previous post.

Did you drain it all out?

Did you take the cover off?

Did you make sure the impellor turns? (This is the pump impellor).
