I have a teka dw6...

I have a teka dw6 59f1 and it seems to have have stopped working you can switch it on but no water comes through although it sounds as though it is working. There is water in the salt dispenser, do I need an engineer/

Hiya,

Are you getting any flashing lights?

Number the lights with 1 on the left, which numbers flash and which one is lit?

Is the machine doing anything at all? Is the drain pump running?

there are no flashing lights, salt light is lit, no5 is lit but not flashing, the machine is not doing anything at all. How do I know if the drain pump is running/

You would hear it running.

Are you able to select a programme?

When you open and close the door does it feel as though it's locking and unlocking properly?

OK, thanks for that.

So you select a programme and shut the door.

The drain pump runs, then it should stop and water should come in.

Does the pump stop or does it just keep running?

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

Unplug the appliance and take the inspection panel below the door off.

Check the base to see if it's got water in it.

If it has, use a sponge to take it out.

This is normally accompanied by an error code.

If you find there is no water in the base.

Take the decor door off, take the facia panel off and check the control board and wiring in the door for obvious damage or burning.

Hi, have done that and it seems to be working, however we have stopped the cycle and unplugged and taken off the inspection panel again and it has water in it again?

Should we dry it out again and let it run a full cycle, then see if it works again?

Hiya,

Keep the panel off.

Drain it.

Run a programme and see if you can spot where it's leaking from.

Its leaking from the right hand side when its draining, it's like aplstic container?

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

You'll need to take the appliance out and take the side panels off to narrow the fault down further.

We know it's a leak, now you have to determine from where and fix it so it doesn't leak.
