I have a Candy GO482...

I have a Candy GO482 washing machine and every so often the program stops with the 60min and stain vanish lights flashing. I then have to switch off and select spin / rinse just to complete but this doesn't allow for fabric conditioner to run through. Please advise.

When it goes wrong and the lights flash, count the flashes between pauses and post the result here.

It was two flashes earlier today, but have now finished to wash. The problem does occur with all the specialist programs. The standard 40 degree cotton wash is the one that is least likely to throw up the error, but it did it today.
David2 flashes at the last check, but the cycle is now finshied as I switched to the rinse/ spin to complete the job. It happens with all other washes except the 40 deg cottons one, but it was this wash that errored today.

As soon as the Candy technical site is running again I'll have a look at the technical manual.

Can you confirm that it's a GO 482, there's an 8 digit number beginning with 3, prefix it with A and post it here please.

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

I'm a bit baffled as to why it's not happening with all programmes because the system is common to all of them.

2 flashes indicates fill time out, Pressure switch faulty or pressure chamber blocked.

Unplug the appliance and take the top off.

Locate the pressure switch and take the thin hose off of it.

Blow as hard and as long as you can down the hose.

Refit it and try the machine again.

If it works, run the appliance on it's hottest wash to try and disolve any build up of undisolved soap powder.

Give it a try and see what happens.

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX this question to Candy as well and it was suggested it was a load balance problem. I have made load adjustments and the last two washes have been fine. Obviously, given the intermittant nature of the problem it may be coincidence that this has happened this way.
