why is my washing machine making a grating noise when its meant to be spinning its filling with water and washing okay but will not spin out the water...the noise is not coming from the motor its coming from near the drain outlet ..its a zanussi aquacycle 1200 spin thanks marie is the pump next to the drain???we had to release the water by opening the filter and all the water was released from the drum this way how do we get to the pump?thanxAnswer Summary
HiIt sonds like something is stuck in the pump. When you took out the filter, was there anything in there that might have stpped the impellor?Take the filter out and turn the machine to drain. If this helpsplease click the accept buttonThanksRob
