My QLED55Q7FA is not...

My QLED55Q7FA is not switching on properly, the sound and the screen backlighting come on, but no picture. If I turn off the power to the under set box off for a few seconds and then reconnect it and switch the set on again it is OK. Any thoughts?

Hello again - same problem as yesterday, power on, backlighting and sound, but no picture. Switch power off at the outlet for 1 min and back on again all works perfectly. This has been going on for a week or more - any suggestions?

When you first power the set up and the screen is backlit but black, can you use the original TV remote to pull up the MENU? Also can you please get me the FULL model number off of the back of the TV and tell me roughly how old it is?

No, response even with the original remote. QA55Q7FAMWXXY. The TV is approximately 12 months old

Thanks for the reply. Offhand this is bad news as the menu is native and will always display unless there's a hardware glitch within the set. It would be important to note whether the TV is less than or over one year from the date of purchase if these steps do not work.

However it's worth it to try a hard reset, as sometimes the processor in the TV can simply have locked up.

The first thing you would try, is disconnect the set from power, then press and hold the power button on the TV itself (not the remote), for 10 seconds and release. Then plug the set back in, and also check that the power cord is connected tight at the TV as well. Press power once, and see if the set powers up normally. Try this procedure up to 2 times, and please let me know what happens.
