I have a Panasonic...

I have a Panasonic TC-P50S1 TV that is not working. We were watching a program and the TV just went black with no sound or anything. Is it possible, or do they even have them, that a fuse blew? It worked perfectly up to this point. Naturally! Any ideas. It is about 8 years old.

Technician's Assistant: Are there any HDMI cables or A/V jacks (red, yellow, and white cables) plugged into your TC-P50S1?

Yes

Technician's Assistant: Was there a power outage recently?

No

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?

No. Other than I have replaced it with a new one. I currently do not have it plug up or the cables to it.

Please try this:
-unplug the tv POWER cord from the wall outlet.
-press and HOLD the power button on the tv itself for 30 seconds, then release.
-wait 2 more full minutes then plug in the tv power cord and try to turn on using the button on the tv, not remote.

Observe what happens- relay click? LED on front panel on or blinking? what else?
