My tv was working fine yesterday. Today I have picture, but no sound.

Technician's Assistant: Are all the cables at the back of your TV connected tightly to the right sockets?

I'm on a cable box. I switched to live tv, vs the cable feed...still no sound LG TV, less than a year old.

Technician's Assistant: What type of input cables are you using: HDMI, RCA (red, yellow, and white cables), S-Video, or something else?

I haven't touched anything, should I check them anyway?

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?

Can you please reboot the TV and any satellite or cable box by un-plugging both from wall-power wait 5 mins then re-plug back in again,let me know if there is any change please

I unplugged everything, even all the HDMI cables.

Yes just let me know the results of that sometimes we get software dropouts that can take out the sound

Hope that's all it is. We bought the TV last year b/c that LG suddenly lost its picture!!! This is all a bad joke, right?!

I do not make the sets I just fix them but yes I am afraid TVs have a tendency to fail more than any other product,its why I advise people to always take extended warranty with a TV

Yes if youfind its hdmi just swap this if you still have no sound then the box will need to be replaced the DVD proves the TV is good
