I have a 40 inch smart tv and I am trying to connect it so I can voice control it. It worked before. I connect thru Harmony Hud

it works on my IPad. I can change channels and adjust volume but there was a time when I would ask my Amazon Tap to change channel etc it worked

Thanks for confirming,

some of the prior alexa skills were changed or discontinued, so that is the likely issue here, if the ipad still works,

go into your alexa app on your phone/ipad, then tap on Menu (3 lines at the top left corner),

then on Skills

then search for Harmony

you should have both Harmony (blue) installed, as well as the red Harmony Secondary Hub installed

after you do,. tell your tap to "discover", wait a few minutes, then see how it responds

I try that and it opens app go to connect and it goes to LinkedIn. Can you send me a link to connect to my iPad remotely and maybe have better luck

Sorry a remote support session wouldn't work for an ipad.

Are you sure you are using the alexa app?

Try closing the app, restart the ipad, then try again

You can go into the alexa app, under Skills, then Your Skills (top right) to remove the logitech and then re-add from there

It wouldn't hurt, but I don't expect it would make any difference,

the alexa skill that should be installed is the harmony hub app, not logitech.

Okay we're getting closer,

now is it still working from the ipad?
You might need to unplug power to the harmony hub for a few minutes to restart it.

Make sure you did the 'discovery" step on the alexa too.

Also did you install both the harmony hub and hub 2 skills?

Nothing here is applicable to linkedin. You need to be using the amazon alexa app on your phone/tablet.

There is something else going on here then,

Lets go back to the beginning,

delete the harmony skills in alexa

run discovery

reinstall both 1 and 2 harmony hub skills

reboot the hub

run discovery again

It says it cannot find a device named Samsung MU 7000 in Patrick’s profile. I got to profile and I find my old profile name, Paraquat, and I try to edit name but it won’t allow me.

Okay at this point I would go into your harmony app, settings, then devices, and remove the tv there,

then add the tv back in.

You'll have to again run discovery after doing that

The alexa devices are dependent on the programming of the harmony,

so I would suggest at this point going into the harmony app and just deleting everything (all devices, and activities) and starting over with the hub programming,

after you add everything run the discovery again on the echo

No, I give up. Regarding other stations. When you watch a station on the iPad and switch to another it saves the channel so it you want to go back to it you swipe the the screen to the left. If you’ve watched a number of channels they’re saved. If you want to erase the channels you swipe all the way to the left and his the « X »

That may correspond to the change in functionality, which is what I would expect is the underlying issue here.

That is what I'd recommend at this point as well, it is both their hardware and software product at this point. Hopefully they have a fix or at least a planned patch for it.

You didn't perhaps have the tv set up on some other skill other than the harmony, did you?

That may be part of the problem then,

if you do, you need to delete those other skills from the alexa app, they are not necessary and will conflict with the harmony,

then reload the harmony programming again, run discovery and it should pick up the tv at that point.

Okay then you now want to make sure the harmony app can still control the tv, preferably even deleting all your devices/activities and setting it up from scratch,

and then after you have confirmed that the harmony app works, then you can add the harmony hub skill back to alexa,

and then run discovery (just say Alexa, discover)

I honestly have no idea why it would ask you for linkedin at any point, there is no reason for it to do so as they have no affiliation with each other.

This has nothing to do with the harmony, logitech, or linked in apps, or the app store.

This is all done within the Alexa app, under menu, then Skills

now this is where you need the email and password ***** with your logitech harmony account, which is what you used when creating/setting up the harmony hub app on your tablet initially

None of these are applicable,

again you're getting into something you don't need to. That sounds like you're setting up a voice remote (samsung remote) that came with the tv.

That has nothing to do with alexa or the harmony process.
