My dcx3400 wont show...

My dcx3400 wont show the channel guide when the guide button is pushed. It also wont display the time in the disply window when the box is off.

Technician's Assistant: What device or product does this involve?

Motorola dcx 3400 settop box with dvr.

Technician's Assistant: How long have you had your DV7?

About seven months.

Technician's Assistant: What have you tried so far with your Motorola product?

I've gotten no good advice from my seller or my cable company. The cable company say it's the makers failure to have these features loaded into the box,while the seller says it's the cable company problem.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Electronics Expert to know before I connect you?

I only get a blue light when I turn the box on.
