Can you please remove the power to the TV (so unplug it from the power socket). and the wifi network

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the wiffi network then the TV, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

Still the same. I'm using an Xfinity wifi hotspot, which I obviously cannot unplug

It's a public hotspot by Xfinity (i.e., Comcast)

So you do not have your own wifi network there?

Ok, it will not work on that (it is different to a hotspot which is something that runs over 3 / 4G)

You need to use a proper network for this to work, as you see it gets blocked when it tries to get to the internet.
