Is the Directv box connected directly to the tv or does it go through a sound system or sound bar?

Have you tried these troubleshooting steps:

-reboot directv box by unplugging it's power cord for a minute

-replace the directv box HDMI cable with a NEW one

-plug the directv box into a different port on the tv

-plug in a different directv box into this tv

At this point, this is going to be an internal failure that requires complex diagnosis and parts inside the tv be replaced. This is a very advanced repair. If you can't DIY, then I suggest calling a local repair shop. Repairs may be around $275 or more.
