My LG 32LH5008 captioning...

My LG 32LH5008 captioning would not work after I reset the channels.

Technician's Assistant: How old is your 32LH5008?

Bought June 2016 from Target

Technician's Assistant: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?

It looks the same and I have set captions to ON. I've tried caption1 through caption 5, no luck

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue with your 32LH5008? What happened right before this?

The TV in on a dish network that includes the whole complex of apartments and nursing home. There is a message saying, "we're ready to install some updates. Restart now or schedule for later. I tried turning off the tv, waiting 10 min. Turned it back on. That didn't do anything so I had the tv do an auto tuning again, and then I could not get captions. Nothing else seems to have changed
