- Please turn Off power of connected video source (such as cable box etc) to TV, does the upgrade message stay on the screen?

No only box which says upgrade that is illuminated when I press ok an remote. Nothing

- Have you tried to disconnect TV power cord from the power outlet for 10 minutes to reset, replug back in and check?

No luck but I got ahold of the Sharp ppl and they determined they need to send a tech to my house

OK, it seems TV firmware has been corrupted for some reason and the mainboard of the TV will need to be replaced to get the problem resolve. I'm sorry there is no easy or quick fix for this problem and it is definitely hardware failure that needs defective board replacement to resolve the issue.
