How did you order the main-board please?model number found on the back of the set?or part-number found on the board itself?

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
I fairly certain I matched both numbers from the set/board itself
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
the purple lines are not horizontal they are vertical
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

Fairly certain I am afraid is not good enough.....part-number or model number

Ask Your Own TV Question
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

I am not going to cure these lines for you if you fitted the wrong or a bad board

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
When I ordered the board the tech asked me to give both numbers so that is why I'm saying it is the right board.....cant it be the Tcon board that is bad as well?
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

Was the set subject to storm damage?

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
no, not at all
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

OK if you press the menu button of the sets OWN remote control does the menu come up ?if so are the lines OVER the menu?

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
remote control not working, but upon touching menu on tv side, it beeps but doesn't appear
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
when I hit channels on tv..I can hear them changing
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

OK thanks ,it is possible the t-con is bad too but that would be unusual, because you had a dead set you fitted the board the set came on and now has different symptoms, so unless you have made a mistake fitting the LVDS lead that goes off to the t-con board or any other lead on the board then if it was me I would be suspecting the replacement board as being bad, do you have sound?

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
I have sound
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
LVDS,,,what is that
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

You have checked the LVDS lead that is the ribbon lead going off to the t-con that can sometimes be awkward, its the lead that runs off to the t-con mounted upper middle of the set

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
no not really
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

You would have fitted this lead into the main-board you MAY have made a mistake fitting it,that is easily done so take it out again make sure you are happy that it fits straight in the socket and try the set again, this is about the only other thing outside of the t-con and a bad board that can cause this

Ask Your Own TV Question
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

Do you understand where it is?

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
no tell me again
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

Its a long lead.....it runs from the MAINBOARD you fitted?its usually a ribbon lead but can sometimes be a multistrand lead its UNMISTAKEABLE

If you still do not know post me a photo of the inside of the set using the add files button

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
ok so the tcon is a smaller board in the middle above main board yes
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

Correct lead runs from mainboard to there, its the mainboard end you need to reseat and check tv again

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Ok, I think I found it and removed and re inserted firmly
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
does the back plastic of the tv set affect the picture, so I don't have to screw rear cover completely on right,,,for now to recheck picture
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

No rear cover can stay of

I am surprised you said reinserted?its usually held down with a brown clip?can you take a photo please?

Ask Your Own TV Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago

TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

Ask Your Own TV Question
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

I have ..how old
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

It must be 8 years plus?

Ask Your Own TV Question
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

Its my belief as the lines are static that it IS either the t-con board or the LCD panel bad screen but to be honest its not making sense that you had a different issue to begin with

Ask Your Own TV Question
TV Technician: Anthony_Infotech, Technician replied 7 months ago

Which makes me think its not YOUR set and maybe you picked it up somewhere?
