Yesterday we noticed that...

Yesterday we noticed that HDMI ports 2 and 3 isn't working but the main one 4 is any reason why? we have a samsung HD 6000 tv

Technician's Assistant: What Samsung model do you have? How old is it?

UN46D6000SF and is approx 7 yrs

Technician's Assistant: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?

I'm not home at the moment..... yes TV menu does work and we only try the 2 empty HDMI ports

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue with your Samsung? What happened right before this?

Just noticed this last week as we don't use the extra ports very often, and not sure what happen nothing else went wrong that we noticed,

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?

No, but do you think I should wait till I get home this afternoon to talk to an expert?

Please note, a rating is only needed when we are finished.

Can you please remove the power to the TV (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then on the actual TV, hold the power button for 60 seconds then release.

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the TV, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

I mentioned to the previous person I'm not home at the moment and its maybe better to do this when I'm home as I thought I may need to have access to the tv to have this problem fix. Can i contact you later 1:30pm when I get home?
