Toshiba, model # 46xv640uv, about 5-10 years old

Technician's Assistant: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?

No, tv menu doesn't work

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue with your 46XV640UV? What happened right before this?

A few days, i pressed the wrong button

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?

I've tried plugging and unplugging it, it still says "unsupported video signal" and the box doesn't turn on

Initially, re-confirm and post back with the complete model number of the TV and the cable box. Additionally, please describe how the cable box is connected to the TV using what kind of cable(s).

How is the cable box is connected to the TV using what kind of cable(s)?

And to avoid asking you to do something you've already tried, can you please tell me what / any and all troubleshooting / specific steps you've already attempted other than / to address the above.

Have you tried power cycling both the TV and cable box? ...unplugging both for an extended period of time? ...plugging back in but into a different outlet?

Have you checked / replaced the cables connecting the Motorola to the TV?
...tried another source such as a DVD player?

nothing wrong with the cables or anything else I'm pretty confident, like I said it just started because I pushed some random button on my remote a few days ago

Yes please as an extended period of time would serve as a soft RESET and dissipate residual power; hence the longer the better.

It would also serve as an attempt of a fix and as a test by process of elimination.

Further, that there is no INPUT button on the remote would imply that it is not an original Toshiba remote. Which remote control was/is used ?
