Offhand the pop sound indicates an electrical short occurred within the TV, and I would suggest unplugging it and not plugging it back in until it's repaired. If there are currently no signs of life on the set at all, then the pop typically would be an IC regulator, or other component failure on the power supply board (which requires replacement of that board to fix the issue).

If you're looking to repair the set yourself- this is a "plug and play" part- meaning no soldering or special tools are needed to replace it. Only a screwdriver and about a half hour of your time. That part can be purchased for your set at the link below for $60:

Alternatively, if you're not comfortable with this type of work, then at a shop this is $200-250 parts and labor, which may or may not be cost effective as a brand new 55" LED Smart TV starts at around the same cost.
