Closed captioning appeared, uninvited...

Closed captioning appeared, uninvited, last week. I have tried NUMEROUS times to remove it. Just spent 30 minutes with Comcast trying to fix problem. No luck.

Technician's Assistant: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?

In another room. Give me a minute. In present position, it can't be read. I'm almost 90 years old and not the strong. TV is 2-4 yrs old. Bought it at Target.

Technician's Assistant: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?

Menu works fine. Just can't change closed caption option from "custom."

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

This has been an issue since last Friday. Nothing unusual occurred before hand. Happened once in past; found Comcast Tech in neighborhood who resolved problem. Just spent 30 minutes with chat help from Infinity. Just frustration.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Expert to know before I connect you?

The way my TV is mounted, I can't read the back of it. I'm 90 years old and can't handle it by myself.
I am a Comcast subscriber today. May not be tomorrow!
