Setup programs works fine; but it won't switch to cable input

Technician's Assistant: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?

32PF7321D/37; probably 10 years

Technician's Assistant: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?

Menu works; cable input used to work but stopped. a new tv was installed and it works

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

Within the last week; right before this it received cable just fine

the Philips tv did work but stopped; only video you could get was the setup info. When switching to cable input "no channels available" message is displayed
