It won't show a picture and no sound either.

Technician's Assistant: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?

E420-AO About 4 years old

Technician's Assistant: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?

Actually nothing works. the little blue on light stays on a few seconds then fades away

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

I had no warning but this happened several months ago and I had another tv so today I decided to try and get it fixed or throw it away

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Expert to know before I connect you?

I had to have a new circuit board put in when it was barely a year old

No storm or anything like that. It was working fine when I turned it off and then would not come back on...no lights, sound, nothing.

O.k then from what you described this could be either caused by the power supply or main board which is common with those tv`s

What i would suggest here is getting the repair kit that includes both boards for $50 and also has a video to show you how to replace it
