Seems there is a patch I need to download to get my pre-installed Netflix account to work. What is the url for that upgrade, please?
JA: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: It's brand new. Bought it on Saturday.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: No, everything else works just fine. Click and you're away. Only Netflix is behind it seems
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: You click on the netflix logo. Up comes a screen asking 'who's watching' and there it freezes. I have to re-boot the tv to get it going again. It's a jvc
JA: Anything else you want the Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not that I'm aware of. Not terribly tech smart at age 65 ūüėĄ

There is no firmware upgrade for this TV, and Netflix should be workig out the box.

Can you sign out of Netflix, sign back in and tell me if it then works please

Someone said to enable extensions, but the three lines that are supposed to be top right is top left on the browser and doesn't work

Ok, I think I see the issue, you are trying to use Netflix via the web browser on the TV?

you cannot uninstall it.

Go to Menu, then option, locate Factory Reset and do this

Once done, setup the TV again and tell me if it then works please

Ok, there lies the problem, your internet will be way to slow for the TV to use, when it goes to load the content, it does not freeze it just takes a very long time and is in effect not usable.

You need a proper cable connection if you wish to use the netflix services on the TV.

This is the cause of the problem

yes, they use a lot less data, as does the App.

The TV's netflix app uses a substantial amount of data compared to this.
