I have lost the sound to my Samsung tv, its about 1 year

I have lost the sound to my Samsung tv
JA: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: its about 1 year old, I dont know the model number
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: tv menu works, no other inputs. tv is connected through an onkyo receiver to directv and a roku
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: The jack to the sub-woofer in our home thetaer was broken, so I disconnected the sub-woofer this morning and shipped it out for repair. This evening I tried to watch tv, increased the volume on the samsung tv, but no sound

Is it the sound through the onkyo or through the tv speakers that has stopped working?
