TV won't start and screen says Starting up please wait then disappears
JA: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: pdp-6010fd
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: the power button blinks on and off, no menu and all the other tv's are fine.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: 24 hours and nothing special happened. We turned the tv off and when we came back to watch it, it would not turn on.
JA: Anything else you want the Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Its about 16 years old

Can you please remove the power to the TV (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then on the actual TV, hold the power button for 60 seconds then release.

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the TV, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

It worked!

Perfect!

It was the firmware that had an issue, and needed a hard restart. We did this just then. It will now be ok.
