- Do you get volume display on screen when push volume button on TV remote?
- Is there any external soundbar/ system connected to TV for sound?
Thanks for the info, it seems cable box isn't sending out sound signals to TV, rebooting the cable box should fix the issue.
- Have you tried to disconnect TV and cable box power cords from power outlet for 10 minutes to reset, replug back in, let cable box reboot that may take several minutes and check?If not yet, please try it now and reply back with the result
OK, if problem persist then we need to verify the TV with another video source such as DVD/ Bluray player or gaming console etc as a test.
Alternate option is to verify the Directv box on another TV.
This way we will verify the defective thing, either TV or cable box.
