JA: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: Sony Bravia 4k 2015
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: No input is detected thru directv box which was upgraded in January 2017. No issues until now
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Today and nothing I am aware of
JA: Is there anything else important you think the TV Technician should know?
Customer: I don't think so We're running self diagnostic now

It all seems to be fine. We get tv and can watch. It just says no input detected tv will turn off in one minute. No matter what we do it shuts down. We turn it back on and we're good for another 15.

Do you have much programmed items done on this tv ?

We could try a factory reset but you will get back to first time setup.

Been looking for an option to turn off the no activity time out but no luck so far , some tv have it

Try this as a last ditch attempt but you will lose all your setup and have to restart them but at this point not much to lose

  1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Storage & reset.
  4. Select Factory data reset.

There is at least 2 more ways of resetting this tv beside the standard "arrow up on the remote and power on the tv itself"
