We have new 65" Samsung Ultra HD curved screen quantum dot

Customer Question

We have new 65" Samsung Ultra HD curved screen quantum dot smart tvs. We have a problem since we bought them with the sound going intermittent from time to time. We have to turn the TV off and on several times to get the sound back without cutting out. We also have one of the TVs that has a thin black line running vertically from top to bottom.
JA: What's the make and model of your tv, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Both are 6 months old. replacements from a lightning strike at our house. the models are the same. Both 65 inch, curved screen 8 series, quantum dot.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: Menu works. It is a problem with watching Direct TV and recorded programs.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Nothing. It was not happening that often but is now happening more often.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the expert should know?
Customer: Not that I can think of.
