We have a 19" LCD tv and with the previous one when we hit the mute button, the words were printed of the dialogue that was being spoken. Is that possible with this one?
JA: What's the make and model of your tv, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: This code is on it: 19LD350
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: Yes, the Menu and the Qmenu both come up with options. I've tried the Caption option but looks like it doesn't connect with Mute
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: This is a new TV for us - we have a Bell TV satellite dish and the mute option on the old tv always brought up the words printed.

I've turned on the "Caption" in the menu

If you click the Q Menu button on your remote, there should be a section for captions, from there you turn it on and it should work.

another question, are you watching tv provided via an over the air antenna or from a cable box from a cable provider?
