JA: What's the exact make and model of your television? And what have you tried as far as getting this connected goes?

JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: Yes
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: We are visiting at my father's and my son is simply trying to connect his x box to hdmi
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?

Any idea of the model of the Coby TV (located on the sticker on the back of the set)?

Also, do you have another HDMI cable you can try?

Offhand, try this first (if it doesn't work, then reply back with the info requested above).

1) Shut the TV off and unplug the HDMI cable from the TV and the Xbox.

2) Unplug the TV's power cord then press and hold the power button on the TV itself (not the remote) for 10 seconds and release.

3) Wait a minute then reconnect the HDMI cable, then plug the TV back in, then try to select HDMI.

Again, is that doe not work then reply back with the info requested above.
