TV = Samsung 40" UN40H6350. TV is from 2014, I'm pretty

TV = Samsung 40" UN40H6350.
JA: How old is your Samsung, and have you tried unplugging it and leaving it off for a few hours?
Customer: TV is from 2014, I'm pretty sure.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: I unplugged it, but only for a few minutes. Changed batteries on Remote. Held down all buttons without batteries. BEFORE I did all that, at least the "SOURCE" button worked! Now, NOTHING. No "SOURCE," or access to Apps such as amazon, no directional ability, ZERO Samsung Remote Control function.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I haven't used this remote in a year. My cable Remote and its Menu work fine. I first used the Samsung Remote to access the "Mirroring" ability for my phone. That worked, until I took steps to "fix" the rest.
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?

So at this point are you even able to turn the tv on?

I"m a bit unclear if you are saying it works fine for cable on this tv but nothing else, or if it is not working at all (but the cable box works fine on other tvs)?
