I just bought a new 39" Smart Insignia T.V. Hooked it up to the cable box and set up the Remote with the TV codes. I can not get any TV channels. Help

Are you seeing anything on the tv at all?

If not, you may be on the wrong input,

use the INPUT button on the insignia remote, pressing repeatedly, to get to the corresponding port where the cable box cords are connected, such as hdmi1 for example.
