I have a new generation Hisense TV, model 50H5C. I'm running

Customer Question

I have a new generation Hisense TV, model 50H5C. I'm running a Pi player for media created at 1080P but the HDMI ports are running the media as 640x480. Manual has no instructions for modifying this. Any advice?
JA: What's the exact make and model of your television? And have you done any troubleshooting yourself?
Customer: Tried both HDMI ports. The Media is standard we have running properly on more than a dozen tv's elsewhere. Also reset to factory defaults.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: Menu works normally. I can't find any option to force the resolution mode.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It's a brand new TV out of the box.
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No. Let's go!
