For some reason it has asked us for a password, which it never has over the last couple of years. It is model M261VP
JA: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: Model M261VP it is 3 or 4 years old
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: No the cable channels are working, we another vizio in another room it is working just fine
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It started yesterday, nothing unusual happened that I am aware of
JA: Anything else you want the tv expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have the serial number if he needs it.

If you see any messages particular ones for a phone call they are not from me but the site, I do not use the phone call facility myself, only this texting method which I consider the best way forwards, if however you want to use the phone call option this will go to a board for another tech to take up, if a tech considers this viable by phone he will ring you, otherwise if you do not want it please ignore it thanks.

I unplugged the cable box and when I plugged it back in the problem continued.

It is a 4 digit pin. I hit menu and hit settings and it worked for about 30 minutes, now it is back to the same thing, cable channels work and out channels do not.

Getting back to the cable box I just want you to switch the box off and let me know if you can still see the message for the PIN
