We lost our picture, screen has horizontal lines purple on the screen. We are wondering if the tv is going or there is some other problem
JA: What's the make and model of your tv, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: LG, don't know the model but its a 55 inch, 8 years old
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: yes on menu, all inputs receive no input errors
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: just today, froze up on screen and whet pink and green
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: we tried changing inputs, I,2,and 3 no change

Hello, Sorry you're having problems. Please ignore the auto-assistant (computer) questions above as they are not relevant. I have some questions of my own here. Regarding the Inputs, What specifically is connected to the TV (Cable/SAT box, DVD, Home Theater, etc.)?

Also with regards ***** ***** MENU, are you saying the set's OWN NATIVE MENU displays perfectly normally and clearly over those horizontal lines please?
