Hello, There is quite a bit more info needed here in order to sort this, including info about the TV.

1) What is the BRAND and MODEL of the DVD player/recorder?

2) What is the model number off the back of the TV?

3) What it the MAKE and MODEL of the Cable/DVR and WHOM is your cable provider (for example: Explorer 4340HD Time Warner)?
