I am trying to get back my Netflix and they say I need a password ***** the tv. I called them and they said the problem was with the Direct TV. They say it is Netflix. I am getting a hell of a runaround.
JA: What's the make and model of your tv, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Vizio, It is about 5 yrs old
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: No. Only when I try to put the Netflix on.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It has been about a month or so. I get frustrated and don't do anything with it for awhile. We live in the country and every time it rains we lose our Netflix but it is easily turned back on.
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?

Hello, Can you please get me the model number off of the back of the Vizio?

Also, if the Netflix app is native to the Vizio, then DirecTv has nothing to do with this.

I need you to tell me when exactly that message about a password ***** up on the screen, what exactly do you press when that message comes up ?
