I have a Mitsubishi wd-65736 (DLP) TV and need to know, "How to rest the lamp hour timer and/or counter.

There is no need to reset the timer after replacing the lamp. It is designed to store fail codes with the time the failure occurred, thus no reset. Fail codes are available if the TV turns itself off, read the attachment I have posted on how to retrieve your codes if that is what is happening to your TV set
