Customer Question

My Series 5 550 lcd tv volume control isn't working right. I can increase the volume but cannot lower it, using the remote.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the brand and model of your LCD tv? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: samsung lcd tv series 5 550. a few years old.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: i only use it for tv.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: nothing dramatic happened. just one day i realized the volume control didn't work to decrease the volume. i use the controls on the front of the set.
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: yes, whether i need to order a new remote.

Hi , I`m Jack and I will be helping you today
Please note that I am an independent tech. that depends on your positive rating to get paid by this website and I have no control over the phone (or other) offers , they are sent by the website ,not by me but let me know if you`d rather do this on the phone.
That being said , a few questions coming up ;

You mean that everything works except the volume down on the remote and it works on the tv itself ?

Are you using the tv`s own remote or cable box remote for example ?
