Facing TV Problems? Ask a TV Technician.
Hi, I'm Nathan.Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help you.
Are you referring to the V logo showing on screen, or to the v emblem below the screen?
Are you saying you've replaced power and tcon, but not the main?
Thanks for confirming,
neither of those would be indicated as the problem here, or it wouldn't even show that logo or attempt to boot up. Based on the symptoms this is a main board fault, a very common problem with this model.
You'll need to replace the main at this point, though it is tough to find and I'm getting only one possible source here at $180: http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/p/1310/vizio-e422va-main-board-756txacb5k005-715g4365-m01-000-005k-serviced-tested-80-credit-for-old-dud
For a 2012 model vizio however I'd hesitate to invest any further amount in it at this point, but especially not nearly $200. This set is significantly past its service life and the other parts will continue to fail and need more and more investment. Since you can get a brand new led tv with a fresh warranty from a better quality brand for under $300, that may be the better choice at this point. I can recommend replacement options as well if you'd prefer.
You're very welcome, and best of luck to you whichever route you decide on.
