"Samsung 1080p" is not a model number. Look for a model number sticker on the back of the tv please.

This tv uses a high power LAMP that is supposed to be replaced every 4-6 years. You made it way past that! So all you need to do is replace the lamp in the tv.

Yes, the lamp is about $80 and you can DIY with just a screwdriver. There is a trap door on the side/rear or the tv where the lamp goes. I can help you with that or I can provide a local repair shop for you...
