My screen went black but I have sound. I have a Sony Bravia.
JA: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: It's Model # KDL-52W3000. It is about 8 years old.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: The menu works. yes, same problem
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It happened last night. We were watching tv, went to change the channel and it went black.
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?

If the sets own menu is coming up this would indicate a signal problem at this time so please reboot any satellite or cable box you may be using by disconnecting the box from wallpower wait 5 mins then re-plug back in again, it would be a good idea to do the same with the TV at the same time, let me know the results thank you
