Hi, I'm Nathan.Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help you.
Look for an EXIT or back button on the remote, you may need to press a few times.
You should also be able to get back to cable by pressing the INPUT (source) button on the remote repeatedly to get back to the proper mode such as hdmi1 or wherever that box is connected.

Can you tell me exactly what you see on the screen when this comes up?
It sounds like it may be stuck following an update, or needing an update.
Can you unplug power to the tv for a minute, replug, and test again for me, please?
