Customer Question

Hey mike , you helped me with my wd-73732 dlp tv a few months ago , finnaly got around to fixing it . It was the formatter board on back of optical drive . I suspect though that the color wheel is bad . The image on tv is now back to normal menues and all but it kinda shimmers . Here's a vid of it

After replacing that part you need to perform Data Transfer Procedure “Copy Light Engine E2PROM to DM”. See page 42 of the Training Manual previously supplied. This copies color wheel timing from formatter board to DM board.

Done , still flickers , I'm guessing it's prolly either that sensor for color wheel or color wheel itself (or both) ?
Expert:  Mike G. replied 1 year ago.
