I have a DVD player attached to my TV and I have been using

Customer Question

I have a Phillips DVD player attached to my TV and I have been using it for some time including last night.
Now, when I switch my input to the DVD player on my TV, it is getting me an Invalid Format message. I am attached via HDMI connection. I have disconnected the HDMI cord and re-connected but still having a problem.

Please note, a rating is only needed when we are finished.

Can you please remove the power to the TV (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then remove the power to the DVD player

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the DVD player, and turn it on then power on the TV,and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

Let me know the results please

Can you give me the make and model of the DVD player please?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Okay, I figured it out. It was the HDMI cord. I replace it seems to be okay now.

ok, I would look though at doing a reset of the DVD player in case it was the HDMI port.

Normally customers do not have a spare cable so I work in that order.

I'll mark the question to remain open so
