I have a problem in that when I plug my laptop in it trips

Customer Question

I have a problem in that when I plug my laptop in it trips the power circuit (earth). At first I thought it may have been other gadgets attached, but I seem to have narrowed it down to when the laptop is plugged into the power board. I am hoping that it is just a problem with earthing on the power cable and not some problem with the laptop itself. Please advise?

Hi thee and welcome

If you bypass the power board and connect it directly into the wall socket, does it trip the circuit still?
