Does the Sharp Welcome screen show up when you power the set ON?

What is connected to the set for sources?

Is the power light lit, blinking or not on at all?

Is the sound coming from the internal TV speakers, or a home audio system?

Q1 No. Q2, Amplifier,Recorder,CD Player. Q3,Power Light Lit Not Blinking.Q4, Sound From Internal TV Speakers.

Okay, lots of this is not lining up here. The TV's speakers should not be working if the TV's own native welcome image does not even turn on. Please shut the TV off, then turn it back on and let me know if anything at all displays on the screen.
