You need to switch off the SAP or MTS in the settings menu of the TV or any box you are using, begin with the TV let me know if you find these settings OK

Make sure that is all OK its set to stereo and the language is correct

I got the manual on the tv I am using. It says to go to the channels listing and do the digital and use English

I have not mentioned a channels menu, start by reading the document from the beginning I can assure you this is the manual for your set what does it say on the front of YOUR manual for the model number?
